Custom Map Poster of Prague
Prague straddles the Vltava River in the heart of Bohemia. The river forms a broad northward-flowing curve through the city, with the historic castle district (Hradčany) rising dramatically on the rocky left bank, and the Old Town and New Town spreading across the gently sloping right bank. Charles Bridge (1357), spanning the river with 16 arches and 30 Baroque statues, is the clearest visual link between these two ancient halves. The New Town was founded by Charles IV in 1348, making it one of the best-documented medieval urban planning projects in Europe.
A Unique Story on the Wall
Prague survived World War II almost entirely undamaged, preserving one of Europe's finest collections of Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque, and Art Nouveau architecture. The Prague Castle complex (70,000m²) is the largest ancient castle complex in the world by area. Franz Kafka, Antonín Dvořák, and Albert Einstein all lived and worked here. For a map poster, the Vltava's S-curve framing Prague Castle on its hill, with Charles Bridge spanning the divide, creates the most iconic European map composition. Deep garnet red, baroque gold, or dark atmospheric stone-grey themes perfectly capture Prague's mysterious, romantic grandeur.
